Domains - from classic to unusual
We register and manage your domains and can even provide the name service as an optional extra.
As a member of DENIC eG, PlusServer has direct access to the German domain management system and is also an official EURid registration authority for EU domains. This guarantees short processing times and reduces the number of possible errors.
Domain management is a matter of trust - after all, a single administrative error can mean that your company cannot be reached by email or online. We manage international domains through our partner, OpenSRS.
In addition to classic top-level domains such as .de, .com, .net and .org, we also reserve “exotic” TLDs such as .ag (Antigua), .mx (Mexico) or .cc (Cocos Island). You are of course registered as the domain owner during registration.
We are also happy to help in changing provider (ChProv). We take on the name service free of charge for all PlusServer managed domains. PlusServer also supports you in managing a particularly large number of domains: through volume discounts and direct access to our domain robots.
SSL certificates for sensitive data
We offer certificates from Verisign and Thawte and can also take on installation on your servers if you wish.
PlusServer creates your SSL certificates in collaboration with the largest international certification bodies: Verisign and Thawte. We can of course also take on installation on your web server if you wish - and notify you in good time before your certificate expires.
We recommend using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) as soon as sensitive data is sent between the client and the server. The encryption protocol secures the communication between the webserver and the browser.
Typical fields of application include, for example, online shops or web forms into which personal information is entered. The webserver requires a SSL certificate for the encryption. Communication via SSL ensures the following two points.
- Authentication of the server
The website user knows they are connected to the right server.
- Data encryption
The data transmitted by the user, such as form entries, and the server reply are encrypted.
