Use cases
Simple login: one for all
You can integrate user registration and authentication into each individual application. Or you can use Keycloak as a Service to provide a central login for multiple applications. This reduces development effort and is convenient for users as they have fewer credentials to remember and only one place to log in and out. Single sign-on (SSO) can also increase enterprise security by allowing IT administrators to specify a password strength that is then applied to all connected applications.
Centralized user and rights management
Keycloak offers a granular management of users and their access rights. Both user groups and roles are available. With the help of authentication and authorization by Keycloak it is always ensured that e.g. customers do not have unauthorized access to internal areas.

With Keycloak it is possible to configure a one-time password or code (OTP) request for each login in addition to the actual password.
